Tours & Activities

Some of the iconic attractions of our region are only 10 minutes drive away – Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, Cable Ski (water ski), AJ Hackett Bungy Jump with all Great Barrier Reef Tours providing pickups from your accommodation or self-drive to either Cairns or Port Douglas.

There’s so much to choose from – Port Douglas and the Daintree rainforest is a 45 minute drive from Clifton Beach. You can tour the Tablelands (go hot air ballooning!) try skydiving or white water rafting, visit Kuranda by the Kuranda Scenic Railway and browse the markets. Then there’s the Great Barrier Reef and all the many ways to see it – sail, cruise, or even fly on a scenic flight on heli or fixed wing!

Further North of Cairns is Cooktown, the site of where Captain Cook repaired his damaged vessel during his voyage of discovery of Australia and later to be the port of entry for the many who tried their luck at the Palmer River gold fields. Located at the doorstep to Cape York and the Outback, it’s a place of great history and well worth a visit by coach or by air. There’s also scenic flight day tours to the top of Australia, on Cape York Peninsula.

Take off on your own discovery tour and experience some totally new sights in your own rental car available from our tour desk. Maps and directions are available free of charge so let us organize your car hire which is delivered to your door.
